Anyone know who makes this cowl hood? Im guessing that it is a cervinis but it doesnt seem as tall as the 3and1/2in cowl ones. Does anyone know if cervinis makes different size 95 style cobra r cowl hoods???
It almost looks like the Kenan (i think that is what they are called) They have a more raised front portion where the cowl starts at the front of the hood then other companies. The Steeda cowl hoods are similar in design, but narrower at the front portion of the cowl at the front of the hood, and are made by them aswell from what i have read. And that is one sexy stang!!!!
its the regular cobra r cowl hood from cervinis I have the same one but on my 97...heres a couple more pics i had of the car usually dont like the 2 tone but this one is done very good.
I was thinking that the steeda(keane) has less of a hump at the front and has more of a straight angle all the way back. I plan on getting the cervinis cowl hood for my GT. I think the one on the two-toned stang pictured is a 2 and 1/2inch cowl....probably the one ill get. I think cervinis doesn't 'strongly recommend' hood pins like steeda. Hope a 2 and 1/2 cowl will be tall enough for possibly a KB down the road
I don't know what other sizes Keanan makes, but I just bought a 4 inch Keanan hood and it's definately higher than that hood. I'm guessing the car pictured has a 2.5 inch cowl. I'll post up pics when my car is finally repaired.
Steeda recommends hood pins, but your truly don't need them. The latch area is secured really well .I wish i had pics to show you . From the other pics, you get a better visual of it,and it does look like a Cervinis '95 Cobra "R" style.
All right thanks. I still like the look of the cervinis more than the steeda because imo the cervinis looks more sleek with the hump in the front and then straight almost straight back. I found a post by the owner and it is a 2 and 1/2in cervinis cobra rr hood. These cowl hoods are hard to tell apart and if the angle of the pic isn't just right they can look the same. Maybe its time to just order one and see what I get.:SNSign:
I have one of those on order right now.....should be here this week Cervini 95 Cobra R I'm gonna run hood pins....I like them....reminds me of old-school hot rods won't go on the car until spring though.....after the test fit and drilling for the pins.....off to paint.....and getting some artwork done on the underside
damn that looks sweet to be honest....I ordered the hood so the engine compartment will look better at shows with the underside done with a show-quality deal just wanted the exterior of the hood to be kinda subtle....no wild scoops or anything.....but that hood is bonerville in those pics
