I have an 03 Cobra (Convertible). I have all the suggested mods: chip, pulley, exhaust, K&N filter. It's a daily driven car, with average highway action. What's the best gear ratio to step up to? I've heard 410s are good...
Your joking, both of you, right? With the mods you have now, don't you find it hard to get traction with the stock 3.55's??? Why in the world would you want to make both 1st & 2nd gear worthless in your car? You said this is a daily driver with average highway action. I say stick with the 3.55's. U.M.
I am with UM on this one. Unless you are racing it at the track and want to cross the traps at a certain RPM in a certain gear, stay with the 3:55's. Yes, older 4v Cobras LOVE gears, but the Terminators are a bit different, not so "rev-happy" and produce enough low-end grunt (older 4vs didnt) to get ya going pretty damn well with the 3:55's. Also, not too long ago 3:55's were considered a "performace-upgrade" by mustang enthusiasts. Its still hard to believe that Ford is dropping these in there STOCK! What a good time to be a stang/cobra owner!
