I was looking at replacing my stock stero with a aftermarket one. I really dont want to spend anymore than $250. I was looking at the Alpine CDA-9883. Was wondering what be a good one to buy?
    Thanks

You can't go wrong with Alpine...just wish they would make steering wheel remotes like Kenwood and Sony.

You will be able to buy a really nice head unit for $250. Decide what features you are looking for, and if you stick with Alpine, Clarion ProAudio, Pioneer Premier, Kenwood Excelon, Eclipse, and JVC, there will be virtually no difference in quality within a tight price range. They all make several levels of quality throughout their lines, so be sure you are comparing "apples with apples" as the old saying goes. In other words, don't compare an Eclipse top of the line with a very basic JVC.
