ive always preffered the mac tools, probably because back in the day (before i was i born, but just barely so) my dad used to have a mac truck of his own. im still discovering all the different tools he had, we've got a full set and then some of hand tools from the late 70's/early 80's. whatever "holes" i find in the collection (1/4" ratchets, metric stuff, etc) i fill with crapsman, er, ah, craftsman.

I have a few Snap-on tools....love there ratchets. To expensive fore my blood, unless I was working on cars for a living. My buddy just bought a Snap-on tool box for 6,000 bucks. No tools included.lol He had to take a loan out for it.

Armstrong is another good name. Bahco makes the best cresent wrenchs.

Craftsman tools are OK for home but not for a professional mechanic. There is a vast difference in fit between Snap On and Craftsman. The Snap On tools I have are all old, but the sockets & wrenches fit tighter than the new Craftsman stuff I have.
