I was wondering if any of you with a phony roll bar with LED brake lights have the lights hooked up in such a way that they don't come on if the top is up? It is really annoying for driver and rear seat passengers that the interior lights up red when the brakes are applied. The LEDs are so bright that rear passengers complain of 'being blinded' by them. Anyway, can I, and if so how do I, set up wiring to disable that particular brake lamp when the roof is up? I know a toggle switch would be easy, but I would prefer something effortless and automatic. What did you do, if anything? Thanks! Dave
I was thinking there would be a way to make my own out of a contact switch or something similar. I could put a contact, like turn your interior lights on and off with the door open/close, down where the roof stows. When the roof is down, it would push the switch down and keep the light from working. Someone has to have done this! ????
cut off switch I have a cut off switch in my car and my bro has one in his vert too. They are a snap to put in...takes about15 minutes. Effortless and reliable...something you can't put a price on...especially 30 bucks. Or you can even get one on ebay for like 20 or so. Get the switch...you won't regret it.
