i have a 2000 convertable and i just had to replace the window in it. it was working good for a while but now it keeps going crooked when lowered. it also pops. i think the rollers came out of the rails. i am going to lube the rail up good and try it but if it doesn't fix the problem will this be covered under my extended warranty. is everything in the door covered. i did try to adjust the rails using the torx studs and set nuts on the rail.
do you think a regulator is under warranty. are the wheels on the window supposed to come off when pulled, because i think that is what happened. it may have popped off the wheel. it went up just fine for a few weeks and then this.
Damn, I thought you meant you replaced the REAR WINDOW and the TOP ITSELF was going up crooked... Sorry about that Sounds like you need a new window regulator. I made a thread on replacing this in 4.6 tech with pics and parts prices.
check the rails, if they are bent out of shape it wont be long till they mess up the rollers and everything else, when I fixed my window from the same thing that happened to you I rebent the rails to make it work
samething just happened to mine. had to pay 800 bucks to replace the glass. ford extended warranty paid for the regulator.
seems to be a not-so-uncommon issue with the gen2 sn-95. My wife's had the same issues...and now, the window has come unglued - causing the crooked rise and rising too far.
