Hey I have a 2000 Mustang GT auto with a Windsor 4.6L valve cover starts with 074 something; anyways I have a modified air silencer,K&N air filter, magnaflow X pile, SS catback and was wondering if there are any real differences from my motor to the Romeo motor? My friend said that the Windsor motor was a truck motor and was not really made for the mustang for race applications. I wanted to know if this was true and that my windsor motor is not desinged for much over 5000 rpms and just made for ow end torque as opposed to high rpm horsepower and made for racing or not. Thanks

there are differences in the Windsor an Romeo engines. but both perform fairly close. the Romeo has a little more compression and it produces a little more power. but the Windsor motor is better for boost due to the lower compression.
