would a 70 torino rear end fit in 71 mustang?

    anyone one know if a 70 torino rear end would fit in 71 mustang?

    im thinking the torinos have trailing arms not leaf springs

    I put some 31 spline axles from a 70 Torino into my 1973 Mustang nine inch rear and they were the same length.The housing had leaf springs but I never measured the spring pad locations to see if they were the same as the Mustang ones.

    Not sure on the width, but I believe they're either close or the same width. They both had leaf springs.

    The width is the same, but the spring pads are in the wrong location.
