Xylene for octane boost?

Isn't Toluene "unleaded" too? The Torco comes in both flavors, FWIW.

Well, I don't have cats either, so leaded wouldn't really matter as much, except when it comes to changing out the O2 sensor every year. That gets expensive too.

Toluene is unleaded, and almost identical to xylene chemically wise. I found that xylene is easier to find, and less expensive compared to the toluene.

Sure, this stuff is probably corrosive to the fuel lines, but xylene isn't nearly as corrosive as ethanol. And some gas stations put %10 ethanol in their gas. Ethanol has a higher octane rating as well. I figure a few gallons of xylene every once in a while won't hurt anything. Many people have used xylene for years without any problems.:flag:
