Wheels-Tires 10 Hole Rim Restore options?

I'm pretty sure matte is not the gloss level you want, if you're trying to get an original look to them. When my 10-holes were factory fresh, I remember them having a very shiny finish. So I don't even think they were satin.... I'd say they had a standard high gloss clear on them. Imo.
makes sense. I only thought matte since the center caps are not clear coated and matte basically

.... and re-spray with a 2k clear like Eastwood's 2K AeroSpray Matte Clear?

I'm just going after the factory look and not interested in painting with color.

2005 exhaust?

Bought a 2005 Stage 1 Roush convertible yesterday. Looking for a little more sound from the exhaust. Don't want it too loud that we can't talk but want to hear it a little. Likely just do a muffler swap and maybe remove resonators if it has them, etc. Don't want to mess with emissions stuff too much so want to leave the cats alone.
Any suggestions for what mufflers to swap for?

SN 95 rack in Fox body

I have done this on both of my cars. You need a 94-04 rack and I used Maximum Motorsports hybrid steering shaft. I also used Fox inner and outer tie rods. The SN95 tie rods are metric thread and too long. The threads on the rack where the inner tie rod attaches is the same for Fox and SN95.

As for the five lug conversion it’s been done hundreds of times so search that as well.

Is rear axle offset common with these cars?

Hi Folks,

After installing new 18" Saleen rep wheels with new tires on my '02 GT, I noticed the rear wheels were slightly different from left to right.
The axle appears to be offset to the passenger side by about 5/16".
I did do some Googling and found other people reporting the same...so I guess I'm just trying to confirm if this is common or not?
The car has not been damaged and has had no body work that I'm aware of. Mileage is fairly low at about 70k miles.

I stuck a 5/16" spacer on the left rear wheel, and they are now both perfectly even side to side (about 1/8" inside the fender).
Anybody out there running a spacer on one side only?

I don't know how thick of a spacer I can run on the stock studs, but I'll install longer studs if need be. That's not a big deal.

Just looking for comments or experience from the BTDT crowd. Thanks all.

Black SN95 Convertible 5.0 small boost

This is my grandfathers car.
It’s not a race car. We’re gonna get some mileage out of the old engine but plan for a new. So it’s a convertible and one of his favorite marks on the car is the saddle tan and black interior with Stock Rims. Black rag top. I like that too -on this particular car. This will never be altered from its STYLE and generation. It’s class as a cruising around car.
We are going to dress it out with the Edelbrock bolt on 100% throughout with a clean job. Which will give it some upgrades and updates while maintaining its style. Some cars are different w me but on this one I don’t want any kind of trick flow or holly.
Thanks for reading the interdiction.

It will be a Black Horse by definition.
And characterized
More over I’m thinking 90s tech and appeal where it matters the most. Turn of the mustang. The last thing I want to see, too is chrome ring rims and translucent windows on this convertible. With a random cold air intake.
Not even tinted windows.
I’m not racing this car so drag and weight isn’t a pinch. With the consideration. So you know where I stand.

My Question is asking you to Spill The Beans on what you know about adding boost for performance enhancing. While keeping air conditioning. Would be done after overhaul or build separate 95 engine. Clean as I can. Still a point?

I’m welcoming you to chat really.
90k miles.

SN 95 rack in Fox body

Hey I have a question.
Getting ready to install SN 95 rack in 89 GT. I found a kit on Detroit axle that comes with hubs for five conversion. It also has cobra Gt inner and outer tie rods. I think I saw someplace on a forum where you can use the cobra inner tie rod, attach fox body outer is this correct. The hubs will be used for a five lug conversion. I am currently collecting parts for that will go in next winter.

So You Want Black Door Lock Cylinders?

I will be interested to see an update after 12 months.

I powder coated a set of handles and door lock covers once. They looked great! Until later....

I ended up with a NOS set that I eventually found on ebay for next to nothing.

Great idea with the plasti-dip though. Interested to see how it hold up.
How about 10 years? Happened to see this old thread tonight and figured id give an update. Drivers side this time wince it gets used the most.

Roush 2005 Roush Mustang Registry

I have a 2005 Roush Stage 1. I bought it last month from my friend that bought it brand new for his wife back in 2005. It’s a Sonic Blue convertible and they had the rally stripes removed, replaced the cloth seats with blue on black leather and pit different wheels and tires on it. The VIN is 1ZVFT85H755237560. Not sure what else you need.
Hi, need your Roush number found on your passenger door jamb. Your car is a Sport model. You have the 17" Bullitt wheels. Your rear gas cap says "GT".

Born on date was Aug 26, 2005 one of the last 45 cars to be built
