I'm noticing the boards are a lot more busy than this time last year.....

We have lots of cool things to talk about, like our Sport-Tracks, BDT's love life, Texas License plates, and more!

I'm still waiting for some snow here, so I can test the 4wd.....

Dont forget about talking like a pirate. Come get some of our snow, we have a ice storm moving in tomorrow night, I'm going to be hella pissed if they cancel flights on Sunday because of it. I have important things happening Sunday.

Nah, it's just that last winter, it was so dead. This winter it's sorta like it was several years ago. I can remember back when it used to be like the HAMB site, you'd post, go away for a couple hours, come back and you had to go to page 2 if someone hadn't posted under your post in a while to find it.

BTW, I'm thinking of changing out my plugs in my Sport-Trac. My mileage is about 16-17, I'm hoping it'll bump it 1 or 2 mpg. Keeping my foot out of it isn't the problem either, I'm babying it around the best I can. I just went today and got 4 tubes of sand at Lowe's, there's supposed to be the ice storm BDT is talking about coming in tonight. I wanted to be prepared.

Good Luck, Last time I lost power at my apartment complex for an entire day, hope it doesn't happen again, last time i had someone to keep me warm. Not the case this time.

Since December, we've had a total of 14 storms come through here with winds as high as 117 KPH. The destruction in the Vancouve area has been unbelievable. Our power has been out so many times I lost count. The longest was two cold days. I keep a generator at the ready now. We just had another foot of snow dump on us when a cold front came down from Alaska the other night.

Yea that cold stuff is making its way down to California today. They expect low temps around 22-24 F, which will be close to a record for these parts.

Us Kalifornian's can't handle temps below freezing for long!!! :( Heck...my Mustang might need a blanket tonight.

I just changed plugs on my Trak, 77.5K miles. They are a BI***! Next time, I'll save my hands and have a garage do it.

And here in the Northeast, ski areas are still closed with no snow. Wierd weather this winter. Can we blame the Kaliphornians & EL Nino?

I think the busier board reflects unemployment and the fact that alot of us didn't get any cool toys or parts to occupy our time. I would trade all of the b.s. Christmas presents I got for one good Mustang aprt.
Not even one snow flurry where I live in N.C. This weekend it will be over 70 degrees on Sunday.

That's not entirely true, there are those of us who are crazy enough to live up in the Sierra-Nevada's :D We go from a chilly 18F to a balmy 34F down in Sacramento. When it hits 50F it's shorts and T-shirt weather. :rlaugh:

You can blame Canada, just like the song in South Park The Movie says... :D
There are some resorts open in the Tahoe area, but not a whole lot, so it's been chilly, but no snow (yet) Now that I said that, I'm going to be digging out for the next 3 days. I love having to dig the house out so that I can get to the street, nothing like a 8' snow drift blocking your path. :bang:

I thought I heard that unemployment was at a pretty good low.

In any case, the last several years, guys are posting more doing more stuff to their cars during the winter. Last winter, it was dead.

We've got about 6" of sleet here, airport is closed, boss told us to go home about 10:30 this morning, I've been in the garage all day straightening it out. No freezing rain here yet.

NOOOOOO!!!!!!
Uh, oh.... Don't tell me - Heather is an Oklahoma girl?

Hey guys, I'm really sorry this latest storm is blasting all of you. Makes my wild ride on the pole late this morning seem pretty insignificant - although my brain-bucket did develop a nasty crack when it blew off my head, bounced off the side of the company F150 (30 feet away) and landed in the street (another 20-30 feet away). Guess I gotta order a new helmet from Supply on Monday :p

Yeah, the Yuma-area wind advisories for the southern edge of "your" storm ended at 10:00 AM local today. Wind started kicking up big-time - gusts to 60+ MPH - at about 10:20
On the other hand, all the aluminum and fiberglass spires which adorn the StangDreamin' residence as monuments to my "radio geek-ness" managed to stay standing :nice:
