I saw your reply and thought "something isn't right here, a 2JZ is a turbo inline six Toyota engine, and he's talking about an 4 cylinder Nissan". SR20's can run pretty good, assuming you can get them to run right. All the "badass" SR20's down here seem like they are broken more then they are driven.
I like 240's, course I wouldn't slam one, and I'd probably put an LS1 in it.
I'm partial to a 280zx,.. and as a driver, I would consider owning one, but won't for this reason:
A japanese car is shunned by the domestic car guys. In other words, you cannot take even the baddest ass japanese bodied car w/ a full on serious entire mustang running gear under that skin to a show and even get somebody to look up, despite the obvious V8 rumble, and distintive turbo wheeze.
I had a Chrysler Conquest, 363 TT, R block'd Holley injected, Powerglide shifted, w/ a 4 linked, narrowed 8.8 sporting 295 Drag radials. Car made 638 WHP@ 18 psi, and I drove the thing to Nashville for that day of the Powertour. People just breezed right by me like I wasn't even sitting there.
When it came time to sell it, I got killed. It ended up going to a Chrysler guy that wanted no part of the ford motor in the japanese Chrysler, and he ended up putting a 6-71 blown 340 and 727 in it.
