Does anyone know if in California its legal to have writing on your tires, like this car in the picture ? I don't see many cars on the road like this, actually none. Wondering if its ok to do. Thanks

I have seen a guy on instagram have them in CA, but do not if they are legal or not. I know they are kind of pricey a tire and turn yellow if from the sun and washing. Just an FYI

Most people don't like the lettering so shops install them facing inward. My nittos didn't have them. Honestly I think those are stenciled in.

Regardless of method: It is not illegal to have raised white lettering on tires in the state of California or any other state currently in the Union... Even Chicago. :O_o:

I've never been much on white letters, but can appreciate the nostalgia of it. Even back it that time I ran black out... But this new fad...

Is just plain tacky. My opinion. Looks like a$$.

May as well have a flat brimmed hat turned side ways, gold in yer mouf. Lookin like a fool with yer pants on the ground. :notnice:

I was alive an well through out the entire decade. My 65 mustang was the first victim to get it's black letters penciled in white w/ the then available "tire lipstick" that you could buy for that purpose.

When the mega hideous Thundercolt came into being, I even made sure the Firestone Drag 500 on the sides of my street driven 10.5" slicks stayed white.

I don't know when exactly I got a brain after that.
