I installed a 65mm BBK throttle body on my 04 Cobra and it runs fine except the idle hands at 1500. If I blip t6he throttle it goes down to 1000 and then slowly drops to 750. I have set the TPS from .82 to .98 and adjusted the throttle stop as BBK recommends (listed below) and looser to no avail. Any Ideas?

BBK Idle Stop Adjustment
With Engine Off set stop to .010 cleatance between stop screw and linkage and then turn in 1 complete turn.

I had the same problem with a twin 62mm from BBK, they exchanged it and I havn't had the problem with the new one.
I've been using the one they exchanged for 2 years now with no problems.

Send it back and spend your money elsewhere! For the money you spent on that TB you could have bought a really good cat-back and gained some SERIOUS RWHP!

I won't even bother asking you why you thought a TB was necessary. It's a proven fact that the aftermarket TB's for the 03/04 Cobra's aren't worth the hassle. Many owners have reported a LOSS in TQ & HP after installing a TB on a stock to mildly modified 03/04 Cobra.
If you were dead set on having the "Bling" factor under your hood, you should have went with the Billet Flow TB, or maybe even the Accufab, anything but the BBK!

U.M.

P.S. Don't waste your time/money on a "Rear Differential Support" either. The 03/04 Cobra comes with a beefier support than the 99-01 Cobras. The differential supports you see advertised are no better than your stock unit and have little or no affect on wheel hop.

I have read some pretty impressive results with the TB replacement on the 03/04's. It was a Gift. I did not replace the stock one on my 01 L that made 500hp so I may tend to agree. It does seem that the Cobra turning more RPM may benifit at top end where the L did not. My L made peak power at 4700 on the dyno with no juice.

Just wondering what ever happened with this? I have the same issue with my 62mm on my 2001 cobra......

Also, do you have a vacuum leak sound? I'm starting to hear something. I've had this TB installed for almost 2 years. I'm starting to have issues...

I have heard nothing but bad things about BBk products....the only thing I think is moderately practical is their long tubes and x pipe....it's kinda hard to mess those up though.....hope you get the problem solved....stay away from bbk.....

Your TB will continue to do the weird idle because of the lack of quality in a BBK product.

BBK's TB has an offset Shaft compared to the original,
to compensate for this BBK drilled the TPS holes at an offset angle, very very poor design. This has caused many weird problems such as: weird noises, bad idle, check engine lights,

another problem with these TB's is they tend to make a vaccum leak noise, what you are hearing is CFM or airflow going over and thru the TB blades. Look at the stock TB there is a special coating on the blades, BBK's does not thus vaccum noise. I would suggest spending your money elsewhere on a higher quality part and or something that nets more results, such as gears etc.

any questions and I would be glad to provide feedback on BBK products.
