TOO MANY Underdrive Pulleys!#

im trying to get underdrives for my 93LX5.0. ive searched all over and ive found prices ranging any wear from 75-175 for a set of Aluminum pulleys. i just wanted some .02 worth on some that i found at blueovalindustries.com (http://www.blueovalindustries.com/images/polishedpulleys.jpg) the price of 175 comes from March Performance (i know i might be buying a little bit of the name, but id rather spend more money knowing im not getting a knock off item)

Just wondering if anyone has experience/advice/preferences on this topic.

Just buy an underdrive crank pulley unless you are going straight out race. It sucks driving at night bc your lights dim when you are just idleing bc alt doesnt put out enough with the underdrives.

I would do this and get an Overdrive alternator pulley.

Do under drive pullies on street vehicles really even HAVE a purpose? $175 bukaroos for what? 3 HP and the potential for charging and cooling problems. No thanks. I'd use the money elsewhere.

i agree w/ daggar on this one...if you're willing to go for a bigger alternator...then go ahead...but otherwise...not worth it

No it wouldn't. The crank pulley spins all the other pullies slower but do not have much affect on the other acessories as it does the alternator.
So it does make more power.
I have tried several combos and this setup made 9 more HP than the stock setup with out any adverse affects.
