Went to the track... what a day.

I dont know yet and I may never know.... becuase i am having a turbo, driveshaft, and delete plates installed all at once.

I do know they guarantee 2 10's of a second off in the quartermile with one:nice:

I live in Bako, and I can tell you its the heat, my car runs like crap at those temps. Then you have the first time at the track factors that are slowing you down; look me up the next time you go out, it sounds like our mods are evenly matched.

Awesome, we're going down there next week I think for the same thing. It's like $20 to get in and run your car. I'll PM you when it gets closer.

Best thing to do is launch at 4000-5000, ride the clutch out pretty aggressive and don't bog. That's basicially how I got my 13.7 bone stock. You can't hot lap these cars in stock form, cause the computer pulls a LOT of power out once the car is warmed up. I went from a 13.7 to a 13.9, to a 14.2 and finally a 14.6 hot lapping it one run after another, with only about 3-4 minutes inbetween. Best thing to do it get some ice, chill the intake manifold and let it rest for atleast an hour to get the temp back down pretty cool, then make your run. :nice:

I did not run mine with the stock tune, so I don't know if that made the difference, but my 4 runs consisted of 2 sets of back to back runs sepertated by 45 minutes. I used no ice on the intake, but I did park the car facing away from the sun and popped the hood. It is a good rule of thumb to not hot lap when going for your best results, but depending on the weather it may not hold entirely true.

what up Wes (gashog)....

how's everybody doing...well i was w/ gashog that day and it was hotttt! i was trying to read all the replies to wes's post and if anybody thinks its not the weather must live in alasaka or some other place! hot air makes less horsepower, i dont care if you had a turbo/supercharger w/ intercooler you will not get full potential.

just got my brenspeed tune w/ all the mods i have, and brought it down that day and it ran slower plus my driving needs a lot of practice(i admit that)...i'm running street tires 285/35(summitomo's) i already knew i wouldn't catch traction to begin with especially w/ the brenspeed tune. i tried everything from idle launch to 3500 rpm launch, 3500 rpm's spun thru the whole 1st even riding the clutch, into 2nd and suddenly it broke left than right then almost to the wall:eek: i was about 2 feet from the wall(trac ctrl off full time)...the best i got was 13.94@ 103 mph, a month ago same track less brenspeed tune and it was about 65 degrees it ran 13.8@ 104, i made 5 passes all at 104 mph that night...i know its my driving! i need tires plus 4.10's(3.55's stock) and practice!

all the props to the ones that hit 13.5's bone stock w/ stock tires:hail2:
