What is the average age on stangnet 5.0 talk?

I'm 25...

My First offical car was a 1988 Pontiac Firebird Formula.. had it until i was 17 1/2 when i sold it for an 86 GT T-top mustang..

while i had that I had an 86 lx 4 banger come and go,

then i parted that out and rebuild a 1990 GT..

bought and rebuilt the GT specifically for a profit.. Had it for 9 months..
progress of that is here: www.cardomain.com/id/90stang25th

after that i bought a 1990 Coupe which i rebuild.. Some pix of that if you guys haven't seen it (since i frequent the BHR now) are in "my garage"

Im 33, I have had my 87 since new, well sort of-it was my mom's 40th birthday present in 1987.

My mom is anything but a fast driver. My dad is. I remember taking many spirited test drives before ordering the car. We considered a Camaro and a Grand Naional. I am glad we passed on both. We also considered a regal T Type with the grand national engine to make it a sleeper...

instead, we made the Fox a sleeper, it was white/white top and a tan interior LX and a 5.0. All options. We were pissed we had to order A0D because my mom couldn't drive a manual. I have actually never driven a fox 5.0 in a manual, and I am looking forward to the first time being my own car.

We loved the 5.0 so much my dad ordered a full size bronco the following spring with a 5.0 and a 5 speed.

While the build quality of the body itself is crap, the drivetrain is hard to beat. I still don't know a better sounding engine short of some (not all!!) Ferraris.

When I first got the stang solely in my hands I also had a 1988 Porsche 911. That was a fun garage to have! I still think the Mustang sounded better!

My mom gave me the car in 2000 and it was sad because it was a bit weathered. The good news is that it never saw salt and was never wrecked but she parked it outside without maintenence for about 5 years and much went downhill....so my spending started. Now it looks better than when we got it. Fortunately all the interior plastic was perfect and my mom changed the oil religiously, so it was a matter of paint, upholstery, NOS nicknacks here and there, and TLC.

I have been into mustangs since I was 15-16 yrs old. Sitting in them at the car show I knew I wanted one. I am 30 now turning 31 soon. I have owned mustangs since I was 18-19 with my first 87 Gt hatch. I have owned 7 different mustangs up to now, including a choice looking Saleen S281.

All of them have been 5 spds, no autos for me.

And I currently have a 87 Gt vert that I am starting to mod. I love driving my mustang every chance I get.

30 years, got into mustangs when my Dad got a 64.5 when I was around 8. Got my first one late in life, my 7-Up. I've had it since my join date. Got the lifetime foxbody bug resto-rodding it and just bought two more last week. Planning on many more in my future.

Currently own: 90 LX Vert 7-Up; 91 GT Hatch with a s/c 351; and a 88 LX Notch formerly a 4 cyl, currently a hole under the hood.

27 years old.........sorry to say I dont see myself in the Fox body game too much longer....I need something newer like either a Stang (2001 and above) or Corvette (years 2001 and above)

yeah...lost interest in Fox bodys :notnice:

I'm 27 (as of Wednesday the 19th), been into Mustangs since I was about 16 or 17. On my 2nd Fox3, bought the first one when I was 18....just before I joined here. So thats about 8 years.....had the first Fox ('89 GT) for just over 2 years, it got wrecked (not my fault)...bought my current T-Top '87 and have had it ever since.

I will be 62 next month, which makes me the second oldest active person in the 5.0 arena. I have had my 89 GT since 1992. It had about 50,000 miles on it when I bought it. It now has over 290,000 miles on it.
