Looking To Go Efi, Got Some Questions....

The base TBI kit's will all do about the same thing and fit the bill for what your looking for. The FiTech offerings are all pretty solid; its more their fuel command center people have had issues with. As far as cost goes; if your not making big power or can live without timing control the FiTech go street setup is good for 400hp and costs $795 without a fuel system. When I was shopping I was leaning towards a Fitech System.

The Holley Sniper looks to be a great setup very similar to the FiTech (go efi 4) but hasn't been on the market long, I've heard rumor of them expanding the functionality of this system in the future too (like nitrous), but as far as I've seen it seems a lot of places are back ordered on the sniper system. The MSD atomic seems to have similar functionality as the sniper differences here seem to be a small external ecu rather then it being contained in the throttle body (some prefer this because it will see less heat and vibration) and its price has been dropped to match the sniper system since it entered the market.

F.A.S.T EzEfi have pretty much been the leaders in these styles of injection system with a long track record and great customer service reputation. Their systems were priced at a bit of a higher price point but I just looked at their site and the 1.0 base system has been dropped to $899. It supports up to 650hp and has been on the market for a long time; it does not control timing however.

For your use, If you dont really care about the timing control; I would go for the EzEfi 1.0 simply because of the companies track record, the Extra $100 over the cheapest FiTech system seems worth it for the extra piece of mind of knowing that the company has much better customer service, and capacity for more then 400hp... which you probably dont need though. Regardless As far as the base kits go; They all will most likely do what you want them to.

I ended up with a fast 1.0 system on my car because I got a good price on it used (and in Canada so I didn't have to deal with the heavy exchange rate) and it works great; the handheld does seem a bit dated but is easy to use and I dont plan on having it out all the time. I was however leaning towards a power adder capable FiTech system before I came across it (for some future options). I also just built the return fuel system myself out of braided teflon -6 line and using the original hard line as the return.

Use the wiring from the '90 T-Bird if possible. Install the computer in a convenient place, and lengthen or shorten the wires as needed. It takes some time, but it's less cash outlay, and OEM reliable.

I'm not familiar with the electrical efi,I really would like to keep it simple with the original parts. I want to use as much of the 90 as possible, because it runs great and it has enough power for me. Should I get the wiring diagrams or does someone know which wires to use? Thanks for all the replies!
