    this might be too far off, but you could always look at the new Camaro coming out. It's riding on an updated Zeta platform (which is what the GTO is on) so you know it will drive nice, I'm sure they will offer the LS2, and it has the good looks.     Yes I was talking about newer cars, and you have a good point, if he could afford a new car, insurance costs probably aren't an issue. I certainly wasn't saying the V6 is the better way to go, but it is cheaper per year to own. If I didn't get mine for free, there's NO WAY I would have a V6.

    there's quite a bit of difference in insurance premiums with a V6 vs. a GT. Being young myself, know how much of a difference a 75-100 bucks a month can make, and that's about how much it could be, depending on the company...

    fitted a GT strut brace....

    is that a stock GT strut brace, or an aftermarket setup? I just got a '99 vert, and it feels like it rides on pillows and is held together with duct tape. looking for some good ways to stiffen it up a little, and this seems like a good place to start. tia.
