Mass air meter help or advice needed

I lucked out this afternoon and came across a 94 crown Vic in my local scrap metal yard. I snagged the whole MAF off of it for less than a $1! It's an original F2VFxxx sensor not reman this time. The crown only showed 70k miles, it was a real shame, the car was clean as a pin.p

Soon as the weather clears up some here I'm going to try the F2xxx sensor in the 70mm housing and see how it does.

Mass air meter help or advice needed

I did manage to score this off of a friend this evening. It is a remanufactured cardone, hopefully it's still good. It's off of a 95 V6 car that he is putting a V8 in and bought the car not running but it still had the MAF in it.

Thanks so much Mustang5L5 for clearing up the mystery of the mystery housing lol! I will try to get me a F2Vxxx... Sensor for the 70mm housing hopefully that will fix my issue of it feeling flat in the upper rpms. I still don't understand why the stock 55mm housing and sensor makes the CEL come...

M Im wondering Blown88GT if my mystery sensor is a replacement sensor for a 94-95 GT in the 70mm housing? If so then the check engine light should stay off (theoretically). I have no codes running or stored with the mystery sensor and 70mm housing.

Still haven't checked the codes yet though, I'll have to install the 55mm setup back on it and start it to get the codes because I erased them when I put the 70mm setup back on it the last time.

The 70mm housing. The factory mass air plug, someone had suggested it had an adapter plug for a aftermarket mass air meter.

I promise I'll get pics and check codes but I've been working dark to dark lately.. and it's cold and snowy here today I just haven't been able to mess with it like I want to. Thank you guys for being patient with me, I'm chomping at the bit to get some pics and more info for ya'll.

Mass air meter help or advice needed

The car runs with no CEL with the 70mm housing and mystery sensor. When I try a stock 55mm housing with a stock F1ZFxxx...sensor is when the CEL comes on. Running stock 19# injectors and a factory sealed A9L ecu.

Mass air meter help or advice needed

It doesn't have any kind of aftermarket adapter harness on it, it's the factory plug for the mass air sensor.
