If you are taking it to the dealer just for the starting issue I personally would not bother. Unless it is repeatable or happens when the vehicle is there the dealer will not do anything. I pulled codes and found nothing when it happened to me.

You are describing the 1 touch start feature - you turn the key and let it go, the engine starts without you having to hold the key in start. The OP is talking about a different issue where the engine does not start but continues to crank.
