    Stumped...Car won't jump

Could you have a loose connection at the other end of the cables which attach to the battery? Many electrical problems I've helped others with was nothing more than a poor ground connection. YMMV

    2012/2013 Side by side comparison

New front & rear facias, lights, and hood. I like the '13, but I'll keep my '07. Besides, my wife just picked up a '13 Explorer Limited, and I still owe a few payments on my '10 F150 FX4.

    Striper I am not!

Don't beat yourself up too bad. We've all been there one time or another.

    Octane boosters

Not necessarily. Ever notice how some engines (particularly smaller displacement engines ... and I would consider 4.6L on the small side of the scale) feel like they're pulling stronger when it's been raining? That's because the air is cooler and more dense. The trick to a water/methanol...

    Octane boosters

We used to run that in an old '78 Landcruiser. Could actually feel a difference in that ~250 cu. in. inline 6 when the bottle was refilled ... and again when it ran dry.

Camber Plates vs. Camber Adjustment Bolts

Camber has little to do with a car wanting to wander easily ... has more to do with caster angle. Think about the front wheels of a grocery cart ... wobbling continuously because of a vertical caster angle ... yet lean those casters forward a few degrees and the cart's weight alone will cause...

Camber Plates vs. Camber Adjustment Bolts

Same here ... FRPP suspension package installed by PO, but negative camber remained. I paid a local shop I trust to install camber plates (Steeda?), and my alignment is now within factory spec's.

    Towing

That reminds me, an old friend wanted to use all his Ford credit card points towards buying a Ranger as a toad. Ford said no towing with any wheels on the ground, but Mazda said it was OK! I remember running a wiring harness under his new Mazda pickup for towing lights, and seeing many parts...

    Towing

An open car trailer would be my choice for several reasons ... they're not too expensive ... they get the entire car off the ground (no lowered-height clearance or rotating parts issues) ... AND a car trailer has its own set of brakes. 800 miles since December? Same here.

    ARGGGH! GT Billet Grille

My wife bought an '05 V6 when they first came out, and had me install a GT grille with fog lights. From firsthand experience, the grilles are not (easily) interchangeable. The opening in the V6 bumper cover is a little more narrow than the GT, and the center-front peaks are slightly different...

Type of Hub Centric Ring that I need?

I believe the Mustang wheels are lug-centric because my '07 GT has conical lug nuts with 18" OEM wheels.

    The new Green is...?(Poll)

I'd like to say I grew up, but I've only grown older.

    The new Green is...?(Poll)

OMG! The 1970s are back! Does it come with a disco ball? I thought I was done with colors like that when I gave up my Hot Wheels.

    Exhaust

What are you looking for? A cool sound or more power? I just did a quick look-see through the Ford Racing Products online catalog, and while I could not find any H-pipes listed, they offered X-pipes for both GT and V6. I don't know about you, but that tells me the FoMoCo engineers see more...

Can't Fill Gas Tank on 05 GT?

This was an issue with my wife's '05 V6 (traded it in '07 for an Explorer). I may be wrong, but I believe she had the problem corrected while it was under warranty, and I think it was related to how the fuel gets from one tank to the other (her's had a pair of saddle tanks). Of course, that...

Motor Trend Boss 302 LS vs. Camaro ZL1

I'm not brand loyal, but I've not been overly impressed with most GM products I've owned over the years, including my old Vette. When I was a kid, the early Mustangs did not garner much interest from me, but I thought the '68 Camaro was fantastic. And I really loved the new Camaro styling ...
