    1966 - Replacement Side Mirrors

I’m looking into replacing the passenger and driver side mirrors on my car since they don’t hold adjustment anymore. I’m going to get new manual mirrors but I’m curious if I would be able to put the larger 67 mirrors on the vehicle. I would like to avoid drilling into my door if possible. Thanks...

    New Guy Looking For Direction

First and foremost make sure all of the rust is removed. Any rust is a weak point that will only get weaker over time, I am aware this is a no-brainer I just felt I should elaborate the importance. They make kits that do exactly what you are looking for. Mustangs Plus and CJ Pony Parts. My car...

    New Guy Looking For Direction

What type of budget are you looking at. If you want to sink some money into it then the sky is the limit. However, if you are looking to stick with a strict budget then you may have to decide what is a necessity. As for the rear end, is the rear end the original 8.8" from the factory or does it...

    Best Carb For A 1966 289?

With any carburetor there is some adjusting required. Many shops around me are unable to adjust and tune Edelbrock carburetors. If you do not feel comfortable adjusting your own carburetor you may want to see what the shops around you are able to tune.

    Best Carb For A 1966 289?

First, you need to figure out are you wanting a two barrel or a four barrel carburetor. Two barrels will use substantially less fuel however, they do not supply enough fuel if you want to accelerate quickly. In 1966 they had two versions of the V8 excluding letter codes. The GT had a 4 barrel...

Post Pics Of How Your Classic Mustang Currently Sits

These photos are two days old. I stayed away from the driver side with the camera due to a recent lane changing incident where another car encroached upon my lane. Minor damage. Just some body work. Passenger Side by Paxton.5oh posted Jun 19, 2017 at 3:59 PMPassenger Size by Paxton.5oh posted...

    1968 Mustang Pb Conversion

The way I look at it is as long as the vehicle operates safely and the things he does to it do not affect the safety of the vehicle I will let them do it how they want. If it is going to get somebody hurt then I will say something. As long as he is contempt with it and safe it does not bother me...

    1968 Mustang Pb Conversion

I completely agree with you. When it comes to my car I do this. However, with this project, I was essentially in the back seat and didn't have too much say. I would have much rather pulled the master out and taken the grinder to the pushrod to get it just right. The people I was helping just...

    1968 Mustang Pb Conversion

We considered filing down the pushrod but wanted a solution that did not require us to remove the master cylinder and power booster for the 3rd time. The last thing we wanted was for the brakes to get messed up or have to be re-bleed.

    1968 Mustang Pb Conversion

The on pedal brake light switch is causing the brake lights to remain on. The issue is the push rod is too thick on the back side. When trying to up the pushrod bushing it is physically impossible to put the switch on the pedal. We are going to add a bracket to the pedal just like the one shown...

With the 1 washer against the pedal and the bushing on the pushrod, the brake light switch will not go onto the pedal.

If all else fails I could always go to an inline pressure brake light switch right? Something similar to this just for the appropriate line size? Speedway Motors

    1968 Mustang Pb Conversion

We bleed the breaks in the beginning before installing the brake light switch. The problem is the switch gets bound up and compresses the spring when the pedal is in the up position. The lights remain on and the switch itself functions. I removed the switch and pressed the plate on it to activate...

    1968 Mustang Pb Conversion

Recently I assisted my cousin with the swap of his old master cylinder to a master cylinder that is paired with a power booster. I purchased the booster from eBay and I am having issues with the brake light switch for it. I contacted the seller for more information and I have yet to receive any...

    Limited Slip 8" Rearend

Currently, the supercharger is not in my budget. I would prefer to save some money now on the rear end. The supercharger or turbos would most likely be done in a year or two but I don't want to have to redo the rear end when I get to that point. My main concern is just having a closed diff...
