Prepurchasing Questions For 2016 Or Later Mustang Gt

I just bought a 2017 and looked hard for a 2016 with low miles...but the price difference between new wasn't enough not to jump on the Ford Financing deals. If you are financing...you can't beat 72 months at 0% interest...you get to play with their money. If you are a cash buyer...well then...

Drag Racing Automatic - Sport Or Track Mode? D Or S On The Shifter

I did some local flashlight drags recently, been experimenting with traction control on and off. Also with track mode and sport mode. What is the best combination to use for drag racing? I have the Mickey Thompson streets now, and new half shafts good for 1500 hp. I have seen my best runs...

    Ford Racing Half Shafts Installed

The Flashlight drags are only 1/8 mile or so....was doing about 100 at the finish line. Supposedly with the horsepower and Roush tune...should be low 11's in the 1/4....and hoping to get high 10's

    Ford Racing Half Shafts Installed

Yes, Automatic. What I read/heard is the automatic in Sport mode (traction off) shifts really fast....better than a manual. I still have to experiment with various ways to launch. Its a stark difference from my EVO's that I raced in the past...where I dumped the clutch at 6,000rpm at the line lol

Just hit 1,000 miles on the Mustang and since it has 727hp from the Lebanon Ford build I decided it would be a good idea to upgrade the half shafts before I do any racing. I ordered up the Ford Half Shafts and a new set of Mickey Thompson ET Streets (305's for that extra width). Also picked up...

For sure...will post some pictures. Bought the car, but have to wait until they install the supercharger. This was at Lebanon Ford in Salem Ohio. Nice group of people.....I didn't go for the stripped down Mustang...as I wanted nicer interior and sound system, so got the Premium with 20" wheels.

I guess the system purges your account after a few years.....as its been probably 5 years since my last Mustang. Drove 4.5 hours to purchase a 2017 Mustang GT....with some extra "goodies". Opted for the phase 2 Roush supercharger, figure 727hp is a good start :)
