78 KC here....bought in 1991...driven it on and off over the years...time to replace the carb...sticking with a two barrel...car is in storage and haven't confirm the carb model...anyone know off the top of their head before I head out there....and a source for a replacement?

Still around and lurking as well. Been a busy few years, helping getting a company off the ground, and buying a house with a huge yard. On the plus side, the King Cobra now has a nice 3200sq ft garage that i park it in!

Bought my King in July of '91, i can not believe it has been almost 22 years since i got it, and sadly have not had the time to drive an denjoy it as much as I should have. Every year I keep saying, this will be the year but it doesnt happen. Fortunately I now have a huge shop to store it in...

how are the hatchback panels?? decent shape? and half the spoiler? middle section or ends?? i have been to the pick n pull on barlow, is that the same one? found a t-top car there, stripped but was able to get a passenger side t-top, just in case! had some good luck finding parts there for...

ever find any king cobras?? i am looking for the rear wheel spats decent bumpers front and back, hatchback panels in black in great shape let me know what you find, pics would be great too possibly a t-top car in driveable condition as well? thanks bud :canada:

I own a King Cobra. It was my first Mustang, bought it because it looked cool, and i loved the way the interior looked. and i got it for a great price. that was 20 years ago this July. i havent really driven the car much, it is a project that i slowly do work on as the rest of my life goes...

welcome aboard! there is a lot of work to install A/C, but any year from 75-78 would work, your best bet would be to find a parts car with everything intact and make the swap good luck

my best memory of this year was just driving the king cobra the little bit i did. and going to shelby american in vegas for a factory tour.

So what was the best memory of this year? what problems did you have, and what are the winter projects planned?? personally i didnt get the King Cobtra out very much at all (at least i am keeping the mileage down :rolleyes:) about 6 weeks ago the fuel pump died, and i havent been able to...
