    Cobra computer??? mass air

The Cobra ECU is fine. It does require 24lbs injectors and a Cobra-specific MAF curve signal if you run it without a custom chip. But anyone who is modifying their EFI-equipped engine should have a custom chip anyway.

how much did your five lug conversion cost

Actually, the "easiest" way (which is almost never the cheapest solution) is the Baer "M2300-K Killer" kit. But it's $2000. ;)

Anyone have a fiberglass hatch ?

Go w/ polycarb, not glass. It will save a lot of weight and is 250 times stronger than lexan. Polycarb is also highly scratch resistant. The Cervini's hatch is well designed. I have a pin on version with four pins and welded aluminum brackets for the pin threads running polycarb and DZUS fasteners.

    Broken front seat mount

You will have to reinforce the area. The only way to reinforce it is to weld a new plate or install through the floor subfrace connectors. Bolting a seat to the sheet metal is like using a wood screw to hang a person from the Empire State Building. Eventually it will let go and disaster is the...

    Fiberglass hatch w/real glass???

Polycarbonate windows are highly scratch resistant. They don't use it in jet fighter canopies for nothing. It's not lexan, which scratches very easily and requires special polishes and cleaning agents to avoid permanent "smearing". Check out www.percyshp.com, (have to call to purchase the...

    Fiberglass hatch w/real glass???

You can install real glass on anything. The problem is it's a waste of fiberglass. The whole of running fiberglass hatch is to save weight. The rear window is heavy and it's not as durable as a polycarbonate rear window would be. Just my opinion. If saving weight isn't important to you, then go...

    Best Oil Pans?

Armando's Custom Pans are absolutely the best pans I've ever used. All of my cars are running his pans. I've run Cantons, Aviads, Milodons, and Moroso pans. All of them leak or have clearance problems when used with certain aftermarket K-members, etc. Armando's have no clearance issues that I've...

how can i hook up a battery disconnect switch in car?

You need a SPDT switch that can handle at least your total alternator output continuous. I use the Longacre pictured here: http://www.longacreracing.com/catalog/item.asp?id=740&catid=14 It's only $33 and it's a true SPDT switch, unlike some that you find at Summit and Jegs for $20 more.

    Roll Bars for daily drivers

Do not weld it yourself unless you'd bet your life on your welding skills. Use only MIG or TIG welds and DOM or CrMoly materials. One bar breaking loose in an accident can kill you instantly. Never put someone in the back seat if you have a roll bar or cage. PERIOD. All the padding in the world...

    Running Without Thermostat...?

Many racers avoid thermostats because of the possibility of failure and the catastrophe that it could lead to on track. I've personally never run thermostats on my race cars. Street cars really only need them if they are equipped with a heater or you live in a colder climate. Here in Miami, it...

    best wing for a coupe?

A wing is useful if you are driving on a road course or just like taking fast corners. The problem with most wings is they actually generate lift because of their poor design (aka they are for looks). Most people running a rear wing and front splitter/air dam have no actual technical knowledge...

fiberglass hatch, can you use lift supports?

Don't have pictures (no camera, sorry). But I do have a fiberglass hatch. I bought it on eBay for $175. It was supposedly a Cervini's, but I can't find it on their website. I used stainless steel "hood pins" to pin it on in four places. This probably won't work well for a street car, but for my...

Any of yous running an X-303 cam?

542 according to the FRPP catalog. IMHO, the X-cam is the best bang for the buck if you want more cam and like to stick with an off-the-shelf cam. A custom grind will just about always be superior, but it will also cost you more and be mroe difficult to replace. In most cities, you can go to a...

    K-Member

Of course it links to the suspension. The a-arms mount to it and of course, the a-arms connect the springs and struts to the chassis. Without the K-member, you have no front suspension. ;) The steering rack also mounts to it. So no steering either. ;)

    Need Fender Flare Help!!

I have the fiberglass flared fenders and quarterpanels (3"). The "add-on flares" like you see on eBay don't actually extend the stock fender out and therefore are cosmetic only. They do nothing to improve clearance unless you cut the stock fenders. Personally, the whole point is to save weight...
