1. the internals are the weak point going above 125, the fuel system can handle it.
2. see above, i have seen a gt run a 150 shot with a perfect tune. the fuel system can deliver the fuel, but the internals have a hard time.
3. good idea to upgrade for 150+
a wet or dry 100 shot is...
hey guys i have a question:
if i get a wideband air/fuel ratio gauge is it still advisable to get a fuel pressure gauge? i'm running a 100 wet shot and i also have a tune with the timing retarded and a little extra fuel on my xcalII.
Good thread. I have a question, I want to lower about 1.5", thinking about H&R ss. Have any of you guys noticed an increase in 60 foot times at the track with springs? I don't go to the track very often, but I don't want to go slower!
I'm wondering were the speed cal is supposed to be mounted. Is it hard to put in/ take out? I don't want the dealer to know I have gears after I get them.
Hey guys, I'm still deciding what gears to get. Whats the 1/4 mile time with a 110MPH trap speed on street tires? Thats where 4.10's max out 4th gear. And 120MPH? Thats about where 3.73's max out 4th gear. Thanx for any info. :nice:
I don't think any of us bought our cars for good gas mileage. Anyways, the manual says you should shift at like 10, 20, 30, and 40mph for the best mpg. So you'd already be in 5th at 40mph. I get around 17 miles per gallon.
I went with the magna-packs, but you can't really go wrong with either one. I'm 19 and and the extra sound the packs make over the magna-flows. Maybe you should look at the x-pipes and see which one you like better so you could match the same brand mid-pipe and cat-back.
Pushrods are used in older engines that are called OHV (over head valve), the pushrods open the valve when they are actuated by the camshaft (single camshaft in the Vee of the block. SOHC is actually better technology than OHV (pushrod engines), and DOHC even better. It just seems that...
