knocking at idle... so if your not moving its not the d/s. And not the steering shaft cuz your not turning.. Sounds dumb but are you sure its not a slight exhaust leak that u can hear during those rpms??

I took a pencil and rubbed it where the window rides in, the graphite kept the windows from squeeking.... I guess these are called the "dew strips"?

I'd do my spraying with some soapy water in a spray bottle.... I have heard a few stories about engine bays going up in flames when a small puddle ignites of sprayed brakeclean/ starter fluid ect.... edit- also have seen some pretty poor cars pass emmisions after a BG induction service...

If its off the car a simple bench test will tell you if it is the problem or a simple wiring issue... advanced auto/pep boys.. lots of places do free tests around me

oil starvation to your bearings during warm up every day is killing you, I never let mine warm up. But I don't go driving it hard till its warm. Not like its killing your motor but if you cant prevent it.... just walk or ride a bike. save your car and get the exercise.
