I can imagine that having a blower would be awesome. But why can't they make a killer setup N/A? It seems that to get any respectable power from a mod motor, you need a blower. I would love to see an N/A package that could keep up with the other manufacturers top rides.
Is this too much to...
I can't wait for the time, (prob 10-15 years from now) when the 5.0 is the bench mark again, and everyone is crying foul like the ricers and GM guys did a few years back!!!! That is going to be a fun time.
How about someone putting the actual '11 5.0 engine into a Fox. That's the omly way the newer badges will look right on a Fox.
(and on a side note, they have really only been 4.9L since inception in '68!!!)
Sure do. It has been down since '07 for a simple MM phb and control arm install. HAHA. This lead into several other projects that seem to have come to a halt with a house and kid. Getting older sucks......................
This link to my thread on The Corral tells the story, (hopefully...
Wow, it has been a loooonnngg time since I have been on 'ol 5.0 talk. I am having a hard time remembering some of the people that used to post here. And I am sure there are a ton of new faces since I last posted. I have been away tending to our first house. It is amazing how much needs to be...
You have to realize, that at this point, Fox enthusiasts are still like a nitche market. Most people looking for a part or two don't realize or care about the rest of the public. It still sucks though, and i know your pain.
Man, I tried to flag you down the other day, but you must have been on a mission......Haha. Just kidding. You had no idea who or where I was. But I have got to tell you, that thing sounds great.
We need a full breakdown of your mods!
I actually got a sign from 'ol Iron horse. If this thing flies this year and we do this again, we need to work on a big Billboard type of deal. I want people swerving off the road because they are trying to read it!!!!!
What type of turnout are we expecting????
I have my side skirts filled in as well. I liked them filled in, it looks cleaner. What I meant by the breaks, is that you have a pretty nice car and it seems as though every area is well thought out. I just didn't know if you had plans to change out the fronts or not.
As far as the wheels...
How big is "pretty freakin big"? How many cars? I know Carlisle covers 82 acres of cars, vendors, and specialty buildings. I have been to the MCA show in Charlotte, and Carlisle dwarfs that show.
We need to get this thing in motion. I need a billboard for my yard. I am on Rt. 14 and there are a ton of cars driving by here daily. I have given flyers to a member of the Syracuse Shelby club. Hopefully we can get some results with those guys.
