2005 SVT Cobra... if there was one (discussion)

I think it looks sweet, but using the old 4.6 4v SC with like 425-450 would place this model between the GT and the GT-500. If it could ber had cheaper than a GT-500 I think it would be an excelent in-between car as there is quite a price jump between GT and GT-500.

    07+ Shelby/Cobra convertible?? Wife's idea!

Yeah a retractable HT would be cool, but Ford is about keeping the Mustang priced low for its performance payoff. They wanted to keep the GT500 under $40k so a special top on a few cars would definately push the price up. This one is looking pretty nice from the car mags though and I'm glad they...

    Man what a difference

Yeah when your buying a car do the cheap easy maitainence stuff and it might get rid of problems like hesitation and sluggishness. Air and fuel filters, spark plugs, wires, maybe ignition coils and fuel injector cleaner are cheap things to do to baseline a car and make sure it should run as it...

    Gauge install 99 Vert

Thanks, I was guessing they were quick clipped in but didn't want to break it. I do have Mach 460, so I think I have to remove the stereo (and CD?) and it should be a cake walk from there. Thanks.

    Gauge install 99 Vert

I don't want to screw anything up so I'm asking you guys. I'm installing a set of BBK White face gauges and A/C control panel. What are all the screws and bolts I need to pull out to put these in? I have a needle puller and can see the obvious 4 torx bolts. I just didn't want to yank and crack...

    Mach 1 Intake Flow Comparison

If I were to raise it up using the PHP intake spacer or 2, like GaPonyFarm said, it would actually work. I've seen this problem before, my 69 Buick is a Ram Air car, but the inlets are to low to be effective because the wind really doesn't flow in that area. But if you were to raise the scoop...

    Intake Flow Comparison

I have an aluminum block 4.6L DOHC. I want to do a custom hidden twinturbo set-up, I was wondering if the Mach 1 Ram Air intake outflowed the NA 99 Cobra intake? I really like the shaker and ram air that the Mach 1 motor does. Or should I go aftermarket if I can find one (Don't know of one for...

    Painted Blackout (between taillights) Completed

I looks sweet. Maybe a future factory thing. I wonder what silver would look like there? Still looks sweet, better than the red did. Breaks the back end up and makes it unique.

    TIRE DELIMA!!!!!!!!!

Why you set on toyo's? If you look at tirerack.com's chart of figures for Max performance tires you'll see several different things. I'm not saying don't go with them I'm just saying check out the chart and see if anything else entices you...

    2005 Mustang II?

Yeah that front end does look a little familiar.

    Steeda Vs. Eibach Prokit

Are you lowering for looks or handling advantage? My reasons for lowering a car would be for the benefit of improved cornering (as well as a nicer stance). I'm looking to get a tubular K-kit up front with Bilstiens, coilovers, and CC plates. I want much improved handling with an adjustable...

How to ruin a Mach 1

My do my eyes hurt. Your supposed to do that to high production sixers that no one cares about, not low production specialty models!

A few possible problems on future mods

I have a 99 convertible that I plan on throwing a S/C 4.6L Aluminum DOHC motor in. I want to get a Roush body kit because it seems that it would allow in more air than a Cobra and its cheaper (and sexier in my opinion), plus it's platic unlike most of the fiberglass ebay crap. I know when...

    Side Exhaust changes

Roush has an expensive sidepipe set with their pretty tips of various years. Kind of off topic, I'm looking at getting side pipes and was wondering if they caused the rear wheels to get dirty with exhaust? Also I am planning on sub-frame connectors and want both to work without hanging out...

    Camaro SS

When the GTOs get the 6.0L that the new vettes have that will be interesting for the SC Cobras, don't you think? They'll have like 400 hp stock. I think the CTS-V is getting the 6.0L too, but not sure. Also if the Charger actually comes out and has the Hemi in it, it'll probably be rated around...

    What brake pads to use?

If you have an extra car to take, bring the rotors when your buying pads. That way if you happen to need guide pins or lubriplate (HELPS, GET IT), you'll be able to see if they are in spec. Many places will check it, but won't cut them if it puts them out of spec.

    Radar detector...

Well all I'm saying is read the reports. http://radartest.com/ http://radarbusters.com/ Hes considering spending mid-grade buck for something that is either going to help him save money in the long run or be a piece of plastic and flashing lights on his dash board. All I'm saying is the...

    What should I do?

Alright what I've decided to do is upgrade the suspension, handling and steering first. Then most likely tires, rims, and brakes. I'll add an IRS after that and lastly put the motor and 6 speed in. Kinda different route, but if it handles and turns and stops I can still have a blast at...

Tubluar Suspension kit on ebay, Any good?

Autocrossing, Drag, slolam track. I was gonna ask GP, D&D, and Maximum what gauge steel they are using for this stuff to see if its any thicker. If you look GP actually links you to other places to check other stuff out and see that its the same looking, but theres is the cheapest priced...
