    Edelbrock vs. Holley

either carb will work fine, i personally have always had holleys and am more familiar with them. as far as 4.10 rear axle for the street you may want to go with 3.50s or 3.73s instead, unless you have a overdrive trans. i have 4.10s in my car and am planning to change them this spring to...

    05 gt or 02 ws6

the firebird firehawks had a 345h.p. rating, they had a better ram air and exhaust system than a ws6 t/a. the latest test report i saw in car & driver stated that the new '05 only ran 13.7 or 13.8 in the 1/4 against a ls2 GTO which was faster. i know this is a mag test but 5 tenths...

    Sound deadening in a 65

don't forget that this mat or anything that you stick down could hold moisture and rot your floorboards out, how could you inspect it to see? and what a mess it would be to try and remove it later.

    05 gt or 02 ws6

that's a tough choice that i made myself a while ago. i am a long time ford/mustang fan and was drooling over the pics of the new GT and waiting for it's release but instead chose a ls1 firehawk after taking one for a test ride. the '02 WS6 that you mentioned should still be under factory...

    Sound deadening in a 65

did you install the factory sound deadening kit before you installed your carpet? they are precut and lay in place under the carpet, in the trunk and behind the rear seat. there is also a reproduction of the firewall insulation if yours is gone.

Help me pick my new carb

a lot depends upon how you are going to use the car, (how many cubes, shift points and launch rpm's should be taken into account) you mention high revving which would make me say go with the 670. i used to run a fairly modded 289 with a 650 double pumper which was a decent combo. if the 670 has...

sold 69 stang for new 2005gt

i would have personally kept the mach1 myself, i think that they are one of the best looking cars ever built. why do you think ford is making the new cars look like the old ones? as for old cars bieng "junk" i guess it depends on your mechanical abilities. your enthusiasm level also...

    Ouch, dragstrip carnage

i have the versailles rear in my mustang as well and broke the stock axle with a 289 that i used to run with slicks and a full spool. believe it or not i didn't break the axles while launching at 6500 rpm's at the track, instead it broke while making a sharp turn in a driveway at slow speeds...

    4-wheel disc brake question

it has been over ten years since i originally set the system up but from what i recall the proportioning valve from a disc brake car was supposed to keep a certain amount of pressure against the front caliper pistons and the seperate rear adjustable one i installed was to adjust the amount of...

    4-wheel disc brake question

i have a 1966 mustang with the factory 4-piston brake caliper setup in front with a versailles rear setup and 1967 master cylinder. i have never been happy with the performance with this setup from day one, it seems that the brake pedal initally sinks somewhat before you get a solid feel to it...

If you had $10,000 to spend on your 66 what would you do?

why not go with a mildly modified 351 windsor? i am sure it would be cheaper than a stroked 302 and still have more cubes.

    quartz headlights on 1966 mustang

hello all, i have a problem with my mustang headlights shutting off when high beams are lit, the low beams also seem to be quite dim, i am assuming that the wiring isn't heavy enough to supply the voltage to power these quartz style bulbs. these bulbs are replacable like the new style...
