I have located two white GTs in my area. One has the Red Accent package and the other has the black interior. IMO, the red looks much better. It does create a problem for me though. The one with the red interior is automatic and I want a 5spd. Another problem is that I want to paint blue...

Yep...they actually said that they were worried that they might have to explain how the GTO beat out their 10 Best selection. They also said that the GTO wasn't available for consideration when they did the 10 Best article. I suspect, that if Pontiac could have provided a car for testing...

Absolutely correct on all counts. I was in the process of negotiating on a new Mustang when this fiasco started. I stopped those negotiations awaiting the outcome of this situation. My initial worry was from a mechanical standpoint...wondering if this was to be a recurring engine problem...

Saw a black one with the red interior this week. I thought it looked great. I like the red so much that it is creating a problem for me. I plan to order a white GT after the first of the year. The red would look really good with the white......buuuuttt...I plan to put blue Shelby stripes on...

The weather is not a concern here in GA; but I will still wait until spring. Pricing and first year reliability concerns are my reason for waiting.
