Correction!! The 84-1/4" belt was a bit too tight. It worked it's way not in the "range " area. So I installed an 84-1/2"er and so far so good.

Thanks jrichker! I replaced the sending unit in the tank and that did not fix it. Just wanted to try that first. I was not able to test as you stated about but I did find a different same year guage cluster and swaped them out. Fuel gauge works now. I will bet money it was the anti-slosh...
