What is correct paint scheme for 69 coupe side scoops?

Hi, Someone t-boned my 69 Coupe in January and I finally got the OK from the insurance company to have it fixed. As I remember the car when I bought it from the original owners, the side scoops had a black background with the body color for the test of the scoop. When I had it painted in...

Buying Air Intake and Tuner Online

I don't know that I've heard of anyone running UPR tunes. I'd stick with a tuner with a solid track record.

    CDC Shaker intake system

In order for any kind of brace to go around the shaker, you'd end up with so much flex that it wouldn't provide any rigidity. The straighter the shot from strut to strut, the stiffer the bar will be. Perhaps there is something that goes from the firewall to the strut towers you could go with...

    Cold air intake w/o tune

Go to the 5.0 Mustang magazine website and do a search on cold air intakes. They did a huge CAI comparison article with dyno pulls. At the time the JLT2 and C&L setups made the most power (about 25-28 rwhp). 5.0 Magazine CAI Comparison Article

    Cold Air Intakes

So, who does the tunes for American Muscle? They have their own tuner? I have never heard of anyone running an "American Muscle.com" tune.

    Cold Air Intakes

I didn't realize JLT was now offering tunes. I wonder who does the tunes for them or if they doing them on their own. I got mine from a tuner that I knew had a long track record, Brenspeed. I would recommend the JLT2 for people who are cheap or a C&L Racer for those spending more cash. :)

Ok guys, convince me to get a tuner for my car

You won't pass visual inspection with a CAI in California but it only takes about 10 mins to swap out a CAI for the factory pieces and reflash the computer. Then you need to drive it through a driving cycle and get smogged and then swap back. EZ PZ!

    Magnaflow Axle back, terrible sound

Throw on a set of AR long tube headers and put the factory cats and H-pipe back on and you'll love it. The car will sound nice and mellow when driving around and full race car when you step on the gas!!

    Charge Motion Delete Plates

    1. Most people do plates and UDP at the same time to notice the difference. Maybe you get 5-10 hp from 3,000+ rpm. 2. I think most people will say it is worth the cost. 3. Not that I noticed. 4. No idea. 5. Easy, maybe an hour. Take off CAI, injectors, intake and slap the new pieces on. 6...

Just man up and get a CAI and tune and enjoy 25 hp or do something ghetto and get nothing but a ghetto look for your car.

Any experience with the American Racing 500 wheel?

My Magnum 500 wheels are getting pretty beat up and sad looking from close to 20 years of use. I saw mention of painted aluminum Mag 500 wheels from American Racing that come in 15" and 17" diameters. Does anyone have any first hand experience with these wheels that can comment on their look and...

Exhaust Question: Need alot of Opinions.

A friend ran American Racing long tubes and 2.5" magnaflow cat-back system and the car sounded very mild at idle and when your foot was out of it. When he stepped on it, his car sounded like a NASCAR racer. This system was just insane. He ran the stock cats with this setup.

New 400 HP Engine for 2010 GT at mid-year

There are going to be a lot of mad people that already bought 2010 Mustang GTs. I have no idea why people would buy a 2010 anyways knowing that this motor was supposed to come out in 2011.

    69 mustang

Sounds like it needs a lot of work still to be complete. I'd say the car is worth $5,000-$7,000 but then I am always known to low ball the value of vintage muscle cars. Getting the body work and paint done is going to cost the most, in California I bet you'd be looking at $5,000 to $10,000...

    05+ oil catch can

I think it is really only of benefit on a forced induction motor but I put one on my N/A motor just because of all the talk people have about the throttle bodies on these mustangs getting fouled over time. I went with a can from Stef's (buddy used a moroso can) and some pushlok lines, AN...
