I made three passes the 3rd was kinda weak(13.7) but these passes were made on street tires at 3600lbs race weight. Trying to get the practice in for fun ford weekend street stang. I still need to pick up a couple more bolt ons and get my 60's better. List of mods in the sig

nice man :nice: Now get some new et streets & crack a 12 second pass in that vert :nice:

you'd whip my butt right now. :( my learning curve from launching on 4.10's (consistant 2.01's, not beating on it), back down to 3.27's hasn't been good. i didn't have a problem learning on the 4.10's at all, but the 3.27's are kicking the crap out of me  the best 60 i cut was a 2.169 :nonono:

i drove my friends new bullitt last night, its bone stock except for nitto drs out back. I tried to slip the clutch at 4k and bogged so bad i almost stalled. ran a shi**y 14.3 @ 98 with a 2.1. I should have dumped it at 5k and shifted into 4th. He went 13.91@100 with a 2.0 60' last night

:rlaugh: i did the exact same thing. if it wouldn't have picked back up & would have actually stalled, it would have been "broke". cause there is no way i would have restarted it in front of that many people (opening night)
(sorry for getting off topic here :flag: )

:uzi: 3.27's

im thinking.
plenum/tb(even though i really think they are weak for the money)
dumped exhaust with straight through muffs for street stang
get some tuning done
lca's, subframes and a little spring work to keep it legal to run.

I think i need to at least be in the 13.1-2 range to be competitive in street stang at gainesville. I would like to see what i could cut 60' wise with a ffw prepped track too. I'm pretty happy with mid 1.9s on these tires, because they are no where near as good as the stock gator backs.

sumitomo htz 2s, they suck, gator backs are good. You just have to do a bit of a burnout with them. Just some guy was pulling lower 1.9s on his
oh ok so you actually do a bit of a burnout with the gatorbacks..i wasn't sure what to do with them.

lets keep this post up and running. i need some work and tips for the track anyways. First trip the other night (and first trip ever) i spun the daylights outta it at the launch and 1-2 shift. I launched at 3000 rpms, with a clutch slip (little too fast tho). Ran a sad 14.2 @99. :(
I did not do a burn out, just a 1 sec spin to clean them off. Im thinking track prep also might have been poor, because the Mach1 next to me only ran 13.8@101/102. I have Perelli PZero Neros, and stock bullitt rims, at the suggested psi. (41) What do you guys drop your street tires down to at the track?
Mike
p.s i ran a 2.3 60... :notnice: :bang: :nonono:

i thought street stang was a bracket style race. anyway, nice times, especially considering the FL weather.
