Joe that is exactly how it works, the cam sensor is just a reference for revolution completion. usually the cam sensor has one tooth for this reference

I was making pretty decent progress this morning. It got about 2, and I needed some stuff from the store.
Then my phone rings......its a BMW customer. (But he'll wait till tomorrow)
I get in the car, get to oreillys, get my stuff and the phone rings again.
Another BMW customer. ( He won't wait)
I tell him that I'll need to go home, and get cleaned up, and I'll see him in 30 mins.
I get two more BMW customer calls in the next hour..i go in.
Progress on the Monster has officially stopped for today.
I'm sitting in the dealership now....the guy that couldn't wait has driven the car home to his wife for her approval, ( she approved) the cars back, the guys gone...
Again.
He will not answer his phone, he will not respond to a text.
Again.
This is the second time this guy has done this to me. The first time was last week, and now again, on my day off where I came in special for him...im giving him 20 minutes....if he doesn't respond or show up in that time frame,
