Little bit of an old thread,but I am replying back to ya. I used an intake fuel pump for an 88 ford ranger with a 2.3L (fuel injected).I had an extra efi engine wiring harness.I just cut out the wires I did not need.
I have a 670 holley street avenger ,edelbrock duel plane intake, and a ebay hei(like rev pictured)
I am very happy with it,runs great. All gauges work fine even the tach.I had to add a ground for one wire so the fuel pump would run with key on.
