96 Cobra with new T56 6 spd ZOOM!

NEED HELP!
I recently installed a new T56 6 speed on my 96 cobra. I am somewhat mechanically inclined so I took on the task myself. The clutch I had in the car before the install was an upgraded clutch and an upgraded aluminum flywheel. My problem is that the new tranny is not fully disengaging I think. When I tighten the bolts on the tranny housing the clutch fork feels like it is slightly engaging. Then when I go to test drive it the clutch does not engage until the pedal is almost all the way out/released. The tranny even slips a little when it is cold so I am pretty sure the clutch is binding up somehow and not fully engaging the tranny. Has anyone heard of this problem? Is there a different clutch fork that I should have used? I used all the stock fork etc. from my stock T45 5 speed.
PLEASE HELP!
