Ok. The sending unit for the gauge (digital dash) mounts into the coolant crossover, which is now aluminum instead of plastic. The sender appears to be shorting to ground on the aluminum crossover (the gauge goes ape**** with the sender installed & connected; the gauge partially blanks out). The original sender did this, the replacement sender does it. Remove either sender & heat it artificially, & the dash gauge displays the temp increase properly. No gauge problems with the old intake with plastic coolant crossover.

The sender for the pcm appears to be working ok; no codes. I've been involved with several intake swaps to the updated design, & have never seen this. I can't recall if any of the others had the digital dash, though.

Any ideas?
