A/C Evaporator Core

Guys, I have the HVAC box from under the dash out of the car, and would like to remove the A/C evaporator core from it, since I'm deleting A/C, this thing is only in the way. My question is, how do you actually get it out of the box? The only way I can see is to split the HVAC box in half, and figure out a way to put it all back together, and removing this piece isn't worth the trouble. Am I missing something?

there should be screws holding the upper and lower casing toether. ive seen a few that actually had clips holding the casing together with a glue of some sort. if thats what you mean by taking it out of the case

On mine, the top half and the bottom half seem to be glued together, with fairly tough glue I might add... I think I'm just gonna leave it in there unless somebody's got some insight into something I'm missing...
