Battery Question

i have a 94 GT i know it calls for a 540CCA size 58 can i use a 540CCA size 26 though? i would think a 26 is smaller in size then a 58 last time i bought a battery they were 50-75 bucks ... and all the prices im finding are over 100.00 i need a battery but dont have that kinda money was hoping i could just go to a smaller size but same CCA

Smaller size = less capacity. It may put out 540 CCA but a smaller battery will not do it as long or as well in colder temps. If you live anywhere where it snows, or gets down near freezing during the winter, a smaller battery will not serve you well. If you live in Miami or L.A. no worry, a smaller battery will be OK.
