Bell housing bolt size?

I just got a block back from the machine shop. The short block was rebuilt. It is a roller block for sure. I went to bolt it on to the engine stand using 3/8 bolts. They seam to not fit well. Do the ford motors use a metric bolt in there bell housing.

As far as I know they are either 7/16 or half inch, and not metric. 7/16 seems right.

Ford seems to love 5/16 and 7/16 bolts for some reason.

they are definitealy 7/16 just put my dart block on the stand today
