Any interest in a carbon fiber bolt on hatch? Found a shop local that does carbon and glass work. They are interested in making parts for a mustang but wouldn't want to build molds for a single part...

I am interested.............depending on cost of course. I would want one with Lexan instead of glass cause if your going to go to the expense of lightweight carbon fiber, why put glass in it?

im heading out of town tomorrow around lunch. monday after work i plan to stop and talk to them about doing a number of parts

Sounds great to me.
I want something other than stock due to the rust issue.

I had a CF hood made for my 1972 Maverick, and the guy did a great job.
If CF is done right, there is not fit and finish work like fiberglass.
My hood fit PERFECT.
Also, you can paint it if you like, just like fiberglass.

OK, just curious.....my Saleen is going to the shop this weekend to get a cage installed and after that I will start making real progress on getting it together. Kind of wanted to know if the carbon hatch would be in this builds future.

i also talked to the guy who was askign about doing carbon work here yesterday in a few emails and its something they would also be up for.
