carburator rebuild help for 66 6L

was rebuilding my carb and noticed that the idle control rod did not have a spring at the end of it it says it supposed to where can i find another 1. and do you think its OK to use a pen spring from an click pen lol it fits on the rod but I'm not sure if i want to go that route . OK where the fuel line hooks up to the carb did they have a filter on the end of it wear the fuel ran through ?

Hi There,

I am not sure about the idle control rod spring. However I know that the carb for my 200ci on the Falcon does have a small inline fuel filter before the carb. That said, the spare carb I had did not have this.

Hi There,

I am not sure about the idle control rod spring. However I know that the carb for my 200ci on the Falcon does have a small inline fuel filter before the carb. That said, the spare carb I had did not have this.

The earlier carbs only have a fitting that the lines screws into because their filter is integrated with the fuel pump.
