First off let me just say I would never do this but it just popped into my head while researching new gears for my car. I own a superchips microtuner which allows me to program the cars computer for different gears in the rear and it will compensate the speedo. I was thinking if I programmed it for 4.56 gears while I had the 3.27's in there and drove around wouldn't it record like I was actually putting less miles on the car then I would be because the speedo would always read a lower speed then I'm actually going? I wonder if there are people that do this and actually have a lot more miles on their car. My car has relatively low miles anyways at 36000 but it kind of sucks that this is possible and so easy to do with a microtuner.
