I was turning my motor over with a breaker bar so i could adjust the preoad on my hydraulic lifters and i stripped out the bolt threads for the harmonic dampner. Is there any way to replace the threads in the crank since this bolt needs to be really torqued down to hold the dampner in place. Any suggestions would help. Thanks, Justin

Not quite sure how it stripped out on you if it was already tight but they do sell a crank thread repair kit, you clean it out real good then use this mix they give you and thread the bolt it, it fills in the grooves and makes new threads.

I have no expierence with it but have heard it does work...

FWIW...Pulling the spark plugs out helps relive the cylinder pressure, and always make sure the car is out of gear.
