Was thinking of buying this brand of tuner.
My question is: Is it basically a plug and play type device, or do I have to actually set the tuning preferences myself?
Not being very knowledgable about automobiles, I wouldn't know where to start, so I'm hoping to find a tuner that let's you install a preset tune.

Yes, it's plug and play, but much more too. It allows you change various parameters to account for new gears, wheels, etc.
If you've changed nothing, you can plug it in, select a preprogrammed tune and follow the onscreen instructions ("Press button to continue", "Switch Ignition Off"). Very easy to use.
