I'm running a stock 2000ish Explorer induction with the tan 19# injectors. Does anybody know if they would be E85 compatible. I don't remember if the junkyard donor had a flex fuel badge.
19s sound small for a V8 running E85. I mean... It will probably work so long as you don't run out of injector. If your injectors have steel parts then that can be an issue with moisture and corrosion. I would imagine that most E85-specific injectors are made with aluminum or stainless steel parts.
So you are going to burn ar least 30% more e85 than gasoline just to get the same hp. You will need 24’s to replace 19’s and make sure they have Viton o-rings.
After some more research E85 is really not a viable option with a stock fox ECU. I could run more base timing and make it work E85 only but the juice ain't worth the squeeze.
Thanks for the replies
