Hi All,
I have a 68 Coupe with a 24" x 16" radiator core, with between 4 5/8" & 4 3/4" clearance between the radiator and the water pump pulley, once you consider the bolts to hold the pulley on. I want to do the easiest, least fabrication, junkyard electric fan setup that will get the job well done. I've already done a search and read every pertinent thread and gleaned some ideas, but need to find some specs and I'm coming up short.
A) It appears that the most recommended fan is from a Lincoln Mark VIII (or similar T-Bird), but the depth makes it a no go!
B) Mid 90's Taurus/Sable fan seems to have ok lateral dimensions and would require very little trimming. I, however, cannot seem to find the depth dimension. It would also be nice to know the CFM.

C) 1992-ish Tempo/Topaz looks to be a good fit, but again, no depth dimension or CFM specs.

D) What seems would be a big winner is the dual fan unit from 1997 Contour/Mystique, with a very gentle depth of 3.3" but there are no CFM specs.

None of these fans seem to list current (amperage) draw or CFM, but I've seen many of you espouse these specs in other threads. If you can point to the source for these specs or provide some of the specs, I would greatly indebted to you.
Also, are the fans from the 3.0 Taurus/Sable substantially wimpier than the ones for the 3.8? I notice the same dimensions, but different part numbers.
Thank You,
Gene
