Been having an issue with a 2013 3.7l where the engine shuts off while driving. Only seems to happen when slowing down to turn or come to stop after cruising at 50+. I throw it in neutral and coast and rpms drop almost immediately to 0, sometimes hovers at 2-300 for a sec. You can tell when it's about to happen cuz the car gets jerky when decelerating and accelerating similar to being in a low gear at high rpms and letting off the gas. Like the transmission wants to slow you down but it happens in higher gears that are normally really smooth when cruising. Luckily it's a manual and as long as I'm still rolling I can put it in gear and let off the clutch to fire it back up and make it to my destination. No mods and no tune. Dealer could only replicate the event once in 3 days of having it and they said with some uncertainty it's the throttle body but more specifically the tps on the throttle body. Doesnt happen all the time but its a bit unnerving. Anyone experience this?
